– Drag Line Cable Reeler

Client requested design of all components to be fitted to an existing Kenworth Chassis.  Components included a cable reel capable of carrying 515m of 22kV cable inclusive of frame, mount and slew arrangement to fifteen degrees.  The rear frame, goal post and ducks bill were designed as an independent module, and the tray was designed as an independent module.  By client request, the cab access is from the tray, with swinging access platforms to allow maintenance to the truck.  The design by independently assessed, showing a static rollover threshold of 0.43, exceeding the clients’ requirements.

Custom set of spreader beams were designed as a coupled set for the purposes of lifting temporary building.
